4-Chloroaniline Use and Manufacturing

4-Chloroaniline can be obtained by reducing p-nitrochlorobenzene with iron powder, neutralizing it with soda ash, and then distilling it. 4-Chloroaniline can also be obtained by dissolving p-nitrochlorobenzene in ethanol, reducing it with hydrogen at 100°C and 4-5MPa under the action of catalyst skeleton nickel, and then separating the solvent and the catalyst. 4-Chloroaniline is an intermediate of azo dyes and color phenol AS-LB, and is also an intermediate of medicines such as chlordiazepoxide, phenacetin, and pesticides. It is also used as a color former in the production of color film.
