Methods of Manufacturing

It is prepared by the following steps with p-chlorophenol and 2, 5-dichloronitrobenzene as starting materials. Preparation of 1.4, 4'-dichloro-2-nitrodiphenyl ether (Ⅰ) p-chlorophenol 64.3g, 2.5-dichloronitrobenzene 96g and potassium hydroxide 32.5g, stirred and reacted at 160-170℃ for 5h . Filter while hot, filter out potassium chloride, distill the filtrate under reduced pressure, and collect 220-230°C (1.47kPa) fractions. After cooling, it showed light yellow crystals with a melting point of 75-76.5°C. 2.4 The preparation of 4, 4'-dichloro-2-nitrodiphenyl ether-2'-sulfonic acid (II) 4, 4'-dichloro-2-nitrodiphenyl ether 200g, at room temperature, gradually add 700g96 %H2SO4, the temperature was raised to 100°C, and the reaction was stirred for 10h. Then added to 1.5kg ice water, light yellow crystals precipitated. After reacting at 10-15°C for 0.5h, the temperature is increased to 90°C and the reaction is continued for 2h. Filter while it is hot, and cool the filtrate to get Midin FF.

Uses

Insect moths on wool fibers or their fabrics are caused by caterpillars. There are two types of caterpillars, one is Lepidoptera moths and butterflies, and the other is Coleoptera beetles. They use keratin as food; they are active from April to May every year, and the humid and hot environment is more conducive to moths. It can be used with various acid dyes. The treated fabrics have good fastness to sunlight, washing, perspiration, rubbing and anti-moth resistance.
