Clariant's new active ingredients: Mainly Epoxyrrhizin, phlorizin
On April 28, Clariant Active Ingredients (Clariant Active Ingredients) launched two cosmetic active ingredients. One is called Rootness Energize, which provides energy to the skin, and the other is called EquiScalp, which protects the scalp microbiota and soothes the sensitive scalp. These two concentrated active ingredients not only have sustainable sources, but also are made by advanced technological processes, which can provide consumers with scientific and effective formulas and significant effects.
Cell Energy "Charger": Rootness Energize
The new active ingredient Rootness Energize can be used to formulate skin care formulas that resist the energy loss of skin cells, prevent the accompanying aging and stress problems, and at the same time can add new energy to the cells to maintain their natural function and lifespan.
This ingredient is made from the root extract of Luffa cylindrica by special processing. Through the cooperation with the plant technology company PAT, Clariant stimulates and promotes the production of the rare active compound fumaric acid in aerial loofah roots, which is a highly effective anti-allergic, antioxidant and anti-inflammatory molecule. The two companies then used the patented Plant Milking Technology to collect this accumulated molecule from their roots without damaging the loofah. The traceability from sowing to extraction of active ingredients is as high as 100%.
The resulting extract contains ten times the concentration of laxative alkyd acid that is ten times that of traditional soil culture roots. Therefore, Rootness Energize can reactivate the entire metabolic system, promote energy production in the cell, at the same time promote cell respiration, stimulate the production of adenosine triphosphate (ATP), thereby reshaping the skin matrix structure. On the other hand, Rootness Energize can significantly increase skin elasticity and reduce skin relaxation caused by age. For firming creams, skin elasticity enhancers and rejuvenating creams, these effects are very attractive.
In a controlled trial of a skin care formulation containing 1% Rootness Energize, volunteers' skin firmness increased by 20%, tension increased by 21%, and elasticity increased by 27%.
Scalp "reconstructor" using Apple stem cell technology: EquiScalp
Cell stem technology is the core of the new active ingredient EquiScalp, which will be used in soothing scalp products and hair care products with increasing demand. EquiScalp is designed to solve common symptoms of sensitive and fragile scalp, such as scalp tension, excessive dryness, itching and redness. At the same time, by maintaining the level of live bacteria and stabilizing the healthy and normal number of scalp flora, EquiScalp will not disrupt the balance of the scalp microbiota, so it can protect the scalp and avoid new problems.
The efficacy of EquiScalp benefits from the enrichment of a flavonoid, phlorizin, which is a Fuji apple stem cell extract. EquiScalp is made in a more sustainable way, requiring only a small amount of fruit to grow a large number of stem cells.
Rhizoma glycosides have recognized anti-inflammatory, anti-lipogenesis and barrier functions, allowing EquiScalp to control inflammation and sebum hyperplasia caused by increased histamine caused by external environmental stimuli and stress levels. EquiScalp can limit the production of two important inflammatory mediators, IL-1Ra and S100A8 / 9 in sensitive scalp, while inhibiting the release of histamine from mast cells and alleviating scalp allergy. In addition, EquiScalp can also inhibit the production of sebum by sebaceous gland cells and enhance the soothing effect. Because of these effects, EquiScalp can limit scalp desquamation, reduce visible dandruff, and strengthen the barrier function of the scalp.
Clinical data showed that volunteers using EquiScalp had a 20% reduction in scalp desquamation and sebum production compared to the placebo control group. IL-1Ra and S100A8 / 9 were also reduced by 27% and 46%. As the sensitivity of the scalp is reduced, the redness symptoms are significantly reduced, and more than 80% of the users feel the comfort level is significantly improved.
