Clariant achieves 100% PFAS-free additive portfolio
Clariant has reached an important milestone by becoming the first company in the industry to launch a completely PFAS-free additive product portfolio. Key products in the new range include Ceridust 8170 M texturing agent and the AddWorks PPA range of polymer processing aids, which have been developed specifically to meet the growing demand for sustainable and environmentally friendly solutions.
The move to remove PFAS from its entire additive portfolio is a strategic response to increasingly stringent regulations around the world. PFAS (per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances) are chemicals associated with a range of environmental and health risks, and many countries have tightened regulations on their use in products.
By launching a PFAS-free solution, Clariant offers an equally high-performing alternative that is significantly more environmentally friendly. The new products are designed to provide the same high standards as their PFAS-containing counterparts without compromising environmental safety or health.
To meet the growing demand for sustainable products, Clariant also announced plans to expand its range of sustainable solutions by 2025. The move demonstrates the company's commitment to continuous innovation and responds to the needs of an environmentally responsible market.
