ECHEMI 2020-05-09

A recent study published in Food Science & Nutrition Research found that supplementation with standard black seed oil (ThymoQuin from TriNutra) can help improve blood pressure health in healthy subjects.

In this study, 20 subjects with normal blood pressure received a daily dose of black seed oil for 6 weeks. After a three-week washout period, another six weeks of placebo treatment. Throughout the study, subjects were tested for blood pressure daily.

The results showed that after 6 weeks of supplementing with black seed oil, the subjects' systolic blood pressure decreased by 11.2% and diastolic blood pressure decreased by 12.2%. Blood pressure began to drop significantly within two days. After taking the placebo for 6 weeks, the subject's blood pressure increased slightly.

TriNutra CEO Morris Zelkha said in a press release: "Nearly one-third of adults in the United States suffer from high blood pressure, and many such as Nigella sativa oil Natural products have long been regarded as a therapeutic drug in traditional medical practice. This study shows that ThymoQuin can significantly improve blood circulation, which is not an effect that other common black seed oil varieties have. "
