Due to the strong demand for antimicrobial coatings, PPG ran fast transportation
PPG announced the launch of a rapid transportation program for PPG SILVERSAN® antimicrobial protective powder coating, which is formulated with special silver ion technology. Since PPG acquired Alpha Coating Technology earlier this year, the rapid transit plan is possible. The powder coating manufacturer is a wholly-owned subsidiary of PPG.
PPG SilverSan powder coating technology can slowly release silver ions, which can inhibit the growth of bacteria on the powder surface. Due to the current strong market demand, PPG has promised to ship PPG silver-white coating orders within two days. The weight of the coating is less than 200 pounds (91 kg) and the colors are in the top 30 types. In addition, PPG also launched a five-day shipment of PPG SilverSan powder coating orders. These orders include 170 different colors of PPG SilverSan coatings and PPG SilverSan coatings weighing more than 200 pounds. Customers can choose to ship in 25-pound or 50-pound (11 kg or 23 kg) packages.
Shelley Verdun, PPG Powder Business Americas Manager, said: "We are proud to listen to our customers and provide innovative solutions that meet their needs, especially during these unprecedented times. Our acquisition of Alpha has strengthened our presence in powder The ability of the market allows us to bring success to our customers flexibly, strategically and innovatively. "
Even if the surface is subject to abrasion and external exposure, PPG SilverSan's special formula maintains the inhibition of bacterial growth. The coating has excellent external durability and is resistant to microorganisms on the surface of the coating. It also has excellent color retention, multiple color formulations in all PPG resin chemistry, and high temperature stability.
Suggested end uses for PPG SilverSan coatings include fitness equipment, office furniture, hospital furniture, household appliances, lighting, heating and air conditioning, building materials and laboratory equipment. This product can only be applied by a professional applicator.
