Kersia becomes the second largest food security company in Europe
On May 29th, Kersia, a supplier of biosafety and food safety solutions, announced that it has completed the acquisition of the chemical cleaning and sanitation technology supplier Holchem from Ecolab, becoming the second largest food safety company in Europe.
It is reported that Holchem will join Kersia's global operating platform, which covers Northern Europe, North and South America, the Middle East and China. The acquisition of Holchem was supported by additional funding from Ardian, the world's leading private investment company.
Holchem is located near Manchester, with a turnover of approximately 55 million euros. The two industrial areas are located in Bury and Liphook, mainly serving the British market.
The acquisition will help Kersia provide services around the environmental and social responsibility and digital solutions in the UK food and beverage hygiene market, thereby increasing productivity.
