The chemical market has weak cost support
As of November 18, among the important chemical products monitored, a total of 25 products rose, accounting for 40.3%, and the top products were port sulfur (10.1%), butadiene (4.3%) and butyl acrylate (3.5%); A total of 26 products declined, accounting for 41.9%, and the top products with the largest declines were aniline (23.9%), 1,4-butanediol (BDO 11.4%) and acrylonitrile (6.0%).
The port sulphur market extended its rally. Recently there has been strong bullish sentiment in the market, coupled with traders chasing up measures, holders are optimistic and actively pushing up, low-priced supplies are becoming more and more difficult to find, and port sulfur prices continue to rise. If there is new positive news or solid follow-up in the market, the port sulfur market is expected to continue to rise.
The butadiene market rebounded from a low level. After the early bottoming, the price of butadiene was at a relatively low level, attracting downstream to start purchasing in the market. In addition, some butadiene plants were expected to be overhauled in December, which boosted market sentiment. Short-term market supply will increase, while downstream demand is relatively stable, and it is expected that the butadiene market will be dominated by consolidation in the future.
The butyl acrylate market rose slightly. Some factories have reduced their load or stopped operations, coupled with some support from export orders, and the trade market quotation has risen under the tight state of spot supply. Most downstream feedback terminal orders are still small, and the acceptance of price increases is limited. It is expected that the butyl acrylate market may be stable and narrow in the future.
The aniline market fell widely. Recently, the production of early shutdown devices has gradually resumed, and the supply has increased. Some downstream losses occur, load shedding and shutdowns are common. When the fundamentals are bearish, the price of aniline is "off a cliff" downward. It is expected that the aniline market may continue to decline in the future.
The BDO market is weak to the downside. Recently, market starts have improved, supply side support is not strong, the overall start of downstream industries is low, demand remains sluggish, and supply and demand pressure still exists. It is expected that the short-term BDO market may continue its decline.
The acrylonitrile market fell at a high level. Market supply tightened slightly, but the main downstream operation declined, some ABS equipment was overhauled, and industry operation declined. In addition, as the acrylonitrile market continues to rise, the current price is at a relatively high level, and downstream procurement is relatively cautious. It is expected that the acrylonitrile market will still have some room for decline in the future.
