Ecolab Sells China Phosphonate Component Biz to Italmatch
Ecolab Inc has sold its phosphonate component business in China to Italmatch Chemicals SpA. The business was acquired by Ecolab as part of its 2015 Jianghai acquisition.
Ecolab has retained Jianghai’s service & formulated business, which provides differentiated products and services to China’s heavy industry water treatment market.
“This sale enables us to sharpen our strategic focus on our core offerings and will allow us to accelerate profitable growth in China,” said Jeff Bulischeck, executive vice president and general manager, Global Heavy Industries, for Nalco Water, an Ecolab company.
