Total Energy builds new recycled PP production line
Recently, Total Energy announced that the company plans to build a recycled polypropylene (PP) production line at its plant in Carlin, France.
After being put into operation in 2024, the production line can produce 15,000 tons of PP compounds per year. Production products will be composed of 100% recycled materials, which are post-consumer and end-of-life vehicle waste.
Nathalie Brunelle, Senior Vice President of Total Energy Polymers, said: “This new line will allow us to meet the growing demand for more efficient and sustainable polymers in the automotive market, in line with our goal of producing 30% recycled polymers by 2030. target.” Total Energy has started PP compound production at its petrochemical plant in Kalin, which was revamped in 2017.
