An outbreak of highly pathogenic H5 influenza A has occurred in Japan
According to the World Organization for Animal Health (WOAH), on 23 December 2022, Japan's Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries informed WOAH of an outbreak of highly pathogenic influenza A (H5) in Japan.
The outbreak is located in Niigata Prefecture and was confirmed on 28 October 2022. The source of the outbreak is unknown or uncertain. One common ð by laboratory tests found that « - and disease
