The European Union authorizes the release of vitamin D2 mushroom powder on the market as a new food
According to the Official Journal of the European Union, on January 4, 2023, the European Commission issued Regulation (EU) 2023/4 approving vitamin D2 mushrooms in accordance with Regulation (EC) No 2015/2283 of the European Parliament and of the Council Vitamin D2 mushroom powder was placed on the market as a new food product and amended the Annex to the European Commission Regulation (EU) 2017/2470 concerning the use of new foods.
