PPG Debuts Video, Color-matching Tool at PaintExpo 2018
PPG will debut a video and color-matching tool along with exhibiting its portfolio of liquid, powder, electrocoat and pretreatment products under the theme “Painting the Future” at PaintExpo 2018. The event will be held at the Karlsruhe Exhibition Centre in Karlsruhe, Germany, April 17-20.
The new “Paint is more than just color” video highlights the company’s contributions to the coatings industry and offers an overview of PPG’s technologically advanced coatings and the advantages they offer to industrial manufacturers.
Products highlighted in the video include PPG SPECTRACRON wet-on-wet primers and high solids topcoat systems, which enable large parts manufacturers to improve their production processes by decreasing energy usage and shortening cycle times. Also highlighted are PPG RAYCRON ultraviolet- (UV) and electron-beam cured coatings, which give flooring, furniture panels and cladding extra resistance to damage while offering a drying time of seconds.
PPG is also unveiling its MEASURECOLOR MOBILE tool for powder coatings to the European market during the show. This cloud-based technology shows the PPG color match, product reference, its properties and stock availability within seconds of a panel or material being scanned.
“We’re pleased to be part of PaintExpo 2018 and have the opportunity to talk our customers, suppliers and new contacts about the coatings of the future,” said Chantal Chacun, PPG marketing communications manager, industrial coatings, Europe, Middle East and Africa. “We think it is an interesting time for the industrial coatings segment. This is reflected in the number of products we offer, from primers to extra-resilient topcoats, as well as tools that allow our customers to quickly order matching paint."
