On September 29, Swiss flavor and fragrance giant Givaudan announced that it has divested its subsidiary Naturex's pectin business.
It is the Herbstreith & Fox Group, a well-known German family-owned pectin producer that took over the business.
Louie D'Amico, President of Givaudan's Taste & Wellbeing (formerly Flavour and Fragrance Division) said: "We decided to divest the pectin business to strengthen our focus on core business. "
Herbstreith & Fox Group Executive Director Sven Fox (Sven Fox) said: "The acquisition of Givaudan’s pectin business will help us further expand in multiple core markets in Europe, North Africa and the Middle East, while gaining a firmer foothold in Poland. Point. We look forward to building a strong network of production facilities for customers in Germany, Poland and Switzerland..."
In 2019, the pectin business contributed 23.2 million Swiss francs to the sales of Givaudan's flavors and fragrances division.
