Givaudan’s performance fell, and sales in the edible sector fell 2%
On October 8, Givaudan’s 2020 performance report for the first three quarters of 2020 was announced on its official website. Sales were 4.790 billion Swiss francs. Excluding variable sales factors (acquisitions, divestitures, exchange rates), Givaudan increased by 3.7% year-on-year in Swiss francs. An increase of 2.7%.
Among them, the turnover of Fragrance & Beauty (Fragrance & Beauty, formerly Fragrance & Beauty) in the first three quarters was 2.199 billion Swiss francs, a year-on-year increase of 4.5% after excluding variable sales factors. In Swiss francs, the year-on-year increase Rose to 5.3%.
The sales of Taste & Wellbeing (formerly Flavors and Fragrances) in the first three quarters were 2.591 billion Swiss francs, which was a 3.1% year-on-year increase after excluding variable sales factors. In Swiss francs, the year-on-year increase was only 0.6%.
Looking only at the third quarter (July-September), the group-wide sales after excluding the variable sales factors were 1.618 billion Swiss francs, an increase of 3.1% year-on-year. Reported sales were 1.569 billion Swiss francs, a year-on-year increase of 0.0% in Swiss francs. Among them, the reported sales of the taste and health department was 826 million Swiss francs, a year-on-year decrease of 2.1% in Swiss francs.
