At about 11:25 GMT on November 9, 2020, a fire accident occurred at Zhejiang Province, China-based chemical company Zhejiang Transit Fluorine Silicon Material Co. ,LTD. According to the information, the fire was caused by high-boiling residues from the company. The exact cause of the accident is currently under investigation.There are no injuries or trapped persons at this time.
This emergency could lead to a further increase in silicone prices in China.
