Riboflavin and riboflavin preparations produced by Bacillus subtilis KCCM 10445 are approved by the European Union as feed additives for all animals
On 21 March 2023, according to the Official Journal of the European Union, the European Commission published Regulation (EU) 2023/651 which, in accordance with Regulation (EC) No 1831/2003 of the European Parliament and of the Council, Approval of riboflavin (vitamin B2) and riboflavin preparations produced by Bacillus subtilis KCCM 10445 as feed additives for all animals.
In accordance with the conditions set out in the annex, this additive is authorized as an animal additive under the category of "Nutritional additives" and the functional group of "vitamins, provitamins and chemically specified substances having similar effects". The authorization ends on April 11, 2033. These regulations shall take effect twenty (20) days from the date of promulgation.
