Ourofino launches Pontual in Brazil, a soy-based fungicide.
Brazilian company Ourofino Agrociencia (Ourofino) recently launched the soybean fungicide Pontual (Azoxystrobin + cyproconazole + Chlorothalonil) at the Brazilian Agricultural Fair.
Pontual is a bactericide for drug resistance management that combines the protective effects of multiple sites, the preventive effects of Strobilurin and the effects of Triazole. In addition to Asian rust, the product can also prevent brown spot, anthracnose, leaf blight, brown spot and white spot.
Ourofino said Pontual's innovative formulation, which includes photoprotectants and specialized surfactants, better immobilises and attaches to the blades. This efficiency enables the product to reach the right place of action at the right time and in the right quantity, thus achieving efficient management. In collaboration with various research institutions, Ourofino conducted dozens of evaluation experiments in fields in major agricultural regions of Brazil, demonstrating Pontual's high performance.
Gustavo Vigna, Marketing Manager at Ourofino, said: "Participating in this agricultural fair will be a great opportunity to showcase our complete portfolio of solutions at all stages of sugarcane and cereal growing." In the earlier editions of the fair, the Brazilian Agricultural Fair generated a turnover of more than BRL 395 million, reflecting the potential of the fair in the agricultural sector. Other solutions highlighted by Ourofino at the show include DistintoBR, a highly effective pre-budding herbicide for the management of difficult-to-control weeds such as matang, Brachweed and bitter grass, especially during the dry season.
