Four of Adama's fungicides were awarded in Brazil
Recently, Adama announced that it has successfully registered four new fungicides in Brazil to control stalk breakage, pod and seed rot, which are common problems in soybean crops. This development not only provides soybean farmers with new control options, but also marks Adama's technological advancement in soybean disease management.
The newly registered fungicides include Azimut (Azoxystrobin + Tebuconazole), Armero (Prothioconazole + Mancozeb), Blindado TOV (Picoxystrobin + Tebuconazole + Mancozeb) and Across (Azoxystrobin + Difenoconazole + chlorothalonil). These products are designed to provide full-cycle disease management solutions for soybean crops, thereby increasing crop productivity and final output.
Soybean crops are particularly vulnerable to the disease in the Brazilian state of Mato Grosso and in hotter climates. Adama emphasizes that the different stages of plant growth and the time interval of application are crucial for control effectiveness, so implementing a scientific and systematic management plan is key to ensuring crop health.
At present, a number of research institutions, consulting companies and private enterprises are looking for solutions to the problem of soybean pod abnormalities and stem breakage through field investigations and studies, aiming to help producers more accurately diagnose diseases and take effective prevention and control measures. Studies have revealed that fungal complexes, particularly Fusarium and Phomopsis/Diaporthe, are the main causes of stem breakage and rot symptoms in soybeans. In addition, the genotype and susceptibility of soybean are also important factors affecting the occurrence of disease.
Of particular note, leaf spot, target spot and rust are the main diseases facing soybean crops in the Cerrado region of Brazil. Adama says it has developed solutions for these difficult-to-control diseases that have been endorsed by leading research institutions and consulting firms in Brazil. In addition to the four fungicides already registered, Adama plans to launch a more effective fungicide in the coming months to further enhance soybean disease control capabilities. This innovation will provide soybean farmers with more comprehensive protection and help them be more successful in disease management.
