Syngenta launches soybean fungicide MIRAVIS Pro in Brazil (Fluxapyroxad + Prothioconazole)
Syngenta Crop Protection has launched MIRAVIS® Pro, a fungicide based on ADEPIDYN® technology.
ADEPIDYN® is the basis for a new generation of fungicides with a broad spectrum of action and enhanced control capabilities. In field trials, the new fungicide showed very good control effect against target spot disease (an increasingly common disease in soybean crops caused by fungus polyclavicularia) when first applied.
The excellent preventive effect of ADEPIDYN® combined with the therapeutic effect of Prothioconazole enhances the control of target lesions in high-pressure environments. In addition, MIRAVIS® Pro also has outstanding performance in the control of DFC (end-growth diseases), especially in the control of leaf blight and blight. These two diseases are considered major problems for crops in the Cerrado region of Brazil.
Pedro Altomar, Product Marketing Manager at Syngenta Crop Protection, said: "Brazil is one of the largest soybean producers in the world, and to maintain this position and increase productivity, the effective management of diseases in soybean crops is essential. It is against this background that Syngenta has launched MIRAVIS® Pro. This is an innovative product with strong control, long residual period and wide spectrum of action, which can increase yield by more than 4.4 bags per hectare."
It is recommended to first apply MIRAVIS® Pro, which provides excellent control over the major diseases affecting soybean crops during this period. In addition, the new Technology brings convenience to farmers, as it is formulated with Empowered Control Technology, which can improve product efficacy without the use of additives or added solutions.
In the Cerrado region, target spot disease frequently harms soybean crops. MIRAVIS® Pro will improve the level of control, especially in high-pressure situations.
Altomar continued: "This is another product in Syngenta's new generation of fungicides that will improve disease control of soybean crops, protect the crop's productive potential and make farmers' lives easier. Over a decade of research, we screened more than 9,000 compounds to develop a unique innovative molecule, ADEPIDYN®, and applied it to MIRAVIS® Pro, a tool designed specifically for the Cerrado region of Brazil.
As the Brazilian soybean market continues to expand and much of the Cerrado region's arable land is devoted to soybean cultivation, it is critical to provide a product that can effectively combat disease and meet the needs of soybean farmers in the region.
