DuPont Completes Sale of Delrin® Business to TJC

ECHEMI 2023-11-03

DuPont announced on November 1, 2023 that it would complete the previously announced sale of an 80.1% ownership interest in the Delrin® homopolyoxymethylene (H-POM) business to an affiliate of TJC LP (TJC) on that day. The deal values the company at $1.8 billion.

Upon completion of the transaction, DuPont will receive approximately $1.28 billion in pre-tax cash proceeds, including certain regular transaction adjustments and $350 million in notes receivable, and will retain a 19.9% non-controlling common stock interest in the Delrin business.

Founded in 1982, TJC (formerly Jordan Company) is a middle-market private equity firm that has raised more than $23 billion in original capital commitments. For 41 years, it has extensive experience in investing in and promoting growth for a wide range of companies across a wide range of industries, including diversified industries, technology, telecommunications and power, logistics and supply chain, and consumer products and healthcare.
