Nufarm launches Duplosan™, a new herbicide combination in Canada that fights stubborn weeds
Nufarm recently launched its self-developed DuplosanTM cereal herbicide combination in Canada to combat stubborn weeds in cereals, including resistant and sensitive grasses, marking a new era in its crop protection.
The combination, which is the result of research and innovation from extensive field work in Nufarm and Western Canada, is not resistant to most weed populations in Western Canada, especially sensitive grasses, and works well. Nufarm says Duplosan can be used in combination with other modes of action to maximize weed control in cereal crops.
OxbowTM, the first product in the family, with the active ingredients
Bromoxynil and Dichloroprop-P, is effective against difficult broad-leaved weeds (including sensitive grasses) in cereals, and with flexible crop rotation and application times, it is an effective way to solve today's biggest weed control challenges; OxbowTM will be available in Western Canada during the 2024 planting season through Nufarm Preferred Agri-Retailer. As the first new Group 4 mode of action herbicide in nearly 10 years, OxbowTM will drive the production of a range of herbicides resistant to grain weeds.
