Adama's new plant in Brazil will put into operation the Prothioconazole technical, which will support the supply of raw materials for the bactericide Alameda

Adama recently announced that it has started production of Prothioconazole at its plant in southern Brazil. This local production will reduce the dependence on external supplies, ensure the availability of Prothioconazole in the Brazilian market's fungicide formula, and help it launch several innovative products in the Brazilian market. Previously, the technical had to be imported from Adama's global headquarters in Israel.

Prothioconazole is one of the three active ingredients in Almada, Adama's fungicide launched in Brazil, the other two being Fluxapyroxad and Mancozeb. Almada is the only product on the market with Acylamide, Triazole and protectants. The application of Almada is simple and convenient, and it can be applied directly without adding any additives, and it shows high control effect in controlling the main diseases of soybean. In 2023, Almada received attention for its outstanding effect on the prevention of Asian rust disease, and studies showed that its productivity was significantly higher than that of its Brazilian counterpart.

As the fourth soybean fungicide introduced by Adama in the last five years with the unique T.O.V. technology, Almada improves the adhesion of fungicide molecules to soybean leaves.
