Evonik Expands Production Capacity of ACEMATT® Series Matting Powder in China

Evonik's coating additives business line announced the completion of the expansion of matting powder production capacity in Taiwan, China. This important investment will help Evonik further develop its precipitated silica technology and expand its ACEMATT® product line to meet the growing product demand in the Asian market. At the same time, Evonik also launched a new product in the ACEMATT®series, ACEMATT®OK 630. The product has a wax-finished and is designed specifically for the Asian market.

ACEMATT® OK 630 matting powder is highly efficient and versatile and can be used in water-based and solvent-based systems as well as tinted and clear coating formulations. This product has excellent dispersion and low viscosity effects, making it ideal for high solids systems.

The ACEMATT® range of products is rich in variety and can help coating formulators achieve the perfect balance between matting effect and ease of addition to the coating system. In addition, ACEMATT® products can achieve various matte effects from semi-gloss to ultra-low gloss. The main application areas include general industrial coatings, automotive paints, plastics, textiles, leather, wood and inks.

The ACEMATT® matting powder produced in Taiwan, China has exactly the same characteristics as the products currently produced in Bonn, Germany.
