Superbac (Brazil) enters the plant protection market with the launch of two biological nematocides/fungicides
Brazil's Superbac has revealed that it will start selling its nematocides Supershield and fungicides Superguard this year after they were registered in Brazil.
Giuliano Pauli, Director of innovation at Superbac, said the entry into the plant protection market was a strategic deployment and part of a growth plan. "It is important to work on plant protection, and in addition to the potential of our biofactory, we have introduced high-tech solutions in this field," he stressed. .
Supershield
The first product announced is Supershield, a microbially derived nematocide made from Bacillus subtilis, Bacillus amyloliquefaciens, Bacillus velezensis and Bacillus licheniformis.
According to Superbac, The product is recommended for the control of Pratylenchus brachyurus, Pratylenchus zeae, Heterodera glycines, Meloidogyne incognita and Meloidogyne javanica. The manufacturer notes that Supershield is suitable for any crop where the targeted nematodes are present.
Superguard
The second product is Superguard, a microbe-derived fungicide made from Bacillus subtilis and Bacillus amyloliquefaciens.
This biocide fungicide is recommended for the control of Rhizoctonia solani, Sclerotinia sclerotiorum, and Fusarium oxysporum. Superbac emphasizes that Super-guard is suitable for all crops where these target diseases are present.
The company also points out that these products do not require refrigeration and that the different strains they contain work together.
