CA Tank Coating Project Out for Bid
The Fallbrook Public Utility District is seeking contractors to paint and coat two existing ground storage tanks in Fallbrook, California.Bids are due Dec. 5. A mandatory pre-bid meeting will be held Nov. 14.This project is estimated at $620,000.
This project involves coating the interior and exterior surfaces of an existing 3.6-million-gallon ground water storage tank and the exterior of an existing 610,000-gallon ground water storage tank.
The Fallbrook Public Utility District is seeking contractors to paint and coat two existing ground storage tanks in Fallbrook, California.
Contractors will abrasive blast-clean the interior tank surfaces to Near White standards (SSPC-SP10/NACE No. 2). The interior surfaces will then be coated with an epoxy system.
The exterior tank surfaces will be pressure water-cleaned (5,000-10,000 psi) and coated with an epoxy-urethane system.Dehumidification is required.
Owner-approved coating manufacturers include Tnemec, Sherwin-Williams, Devoe or an approved equal.
