Notice: The wheat spiders are about to appear in large numbers
With the gradual rise in temperature, coupled with better moisture content after snow this year, wheat spiders quickly entered the green jointing period, some farmers found that the wheat field appeared red spider harm, and some areas even appeared the outbreak trend, wheat spiders now began to reproduce harm, in the middle and late March into the peak period of harm, we should promptly use drugs to control.
Danger of red spider to wheat
Wheat red spider is one of the main pests in wheat fields. It harms wheat mainly by absorbing wheat juice. The wheat affected by wheat spiders first begins to suffer from the lower leaves, and then gradually spreads to the middle and upper parts. The affected leaves will appear yellow and white spots, and gradually appear red spots with the aggravation of the insect infestation, and the phenomenon of partial curling of the leaves. The damaged wheat plants are stunted, dwarfed, and even lead to whole plant wilting and reduced yield.
Red spider resistance to low temperature is particularly strong, the low temperature of minus 10 degrees also freeze it, when the temperature is low, it will drill into the ground, suck the nutrition of wheat roots, there is sun during the day, after the temperature rises, it will climb to the leaf surface to suck the nutrition of wheat stems and leaves, resulting in wheat leaves white hair yellow, atrophy is not long.
Chemical control
When spider mite occurs in the early stage or to prevent spider mite, the formulations that can be selected are 2.5% Bifenthrin 50 ml/mu or 2% Avermectin 20 ml/mu or 20% Pyridaben 10 g/mu or 57% Propargite 20 ml/mu, uniform spray control of water; During the high incidence period, it is recommended to use Avermectin and its compound ingredients, such as 10% Avermectin · Pyridaben 20 ml/mu, or 50% Cypermethrin · Chlorpyrifos 20 ml/mu, etc.
It should be noted that the efficacy of Avermectin and Emamectin Benzoate is not easy to fully play when the temperature is low, and it is recommended to choose Bifenthrin, Avermectin, Pyridaben, Chlorpyrifos, etc., below 20℃
