Sun Chemical pigments and colorants will increase prices starting from April 1st!

ECHEMI 2024-03-19

Sun Chemical will make price adjustments for its pigments and colorants starting April 1, 2024, or as permitted by contract.

These price adjustments are due to rising labor costs, global inflation and rising energy bills that have continued to rise over the past 18 months. While there are some mitigating factors in raw material costs, price declines are not significant enough to offset overall financial pressures. The price increases mainly affect products produced in Europe, North America and Japan and will affect most of Sun Chemical's pigment product portfolio.

"As the world's leading supplier of pigments and colorants, Sun Chemical strives to limit rising costs as much as possible," said Stefan Sütterlin, president of Sun Chemical Color Materials. "However, the current severity of the impact of inflation requires new price adjustments. Sun Chemical will communicate specific price changes directly to customers. These increases are in addition to previously communicated measures."
