Israel Chemicals Collaborates with Ideelab Biotechnology to Develop Innovative Bioformulations
In an exciting partnership, Israel Chemicals and Ideelab Biotechnology have joined forces to pioneer groundbreaking bioformulations. This collaboration brings together the expertise of Ideelab Biotechnology, a Brazilian startup specializing in research and development services and high-tech bio products, and Israel Chemicals, a leading chemical company. Together, they aim to revolutionize agricultural biotechnology with six disruptive new solutions.
Ideelab Biotechnology is dedicated to developing innovative solutions for the agricultural market, focusing on next-generation bio products containing microbial metabolites, proteins, and other active ingredients. Prior to this collaboration, Ideelab Biotechnology signed a partnership agreement with Ginkgo Bioworks, a leading synthetic biology company in North America, to drive innovation in the Brazilian agricultural sector.
Michel Castellani, R&D Director at Israel Chemicals, expressed enthusiasm about the collaboration, stating, "By leveraging bio product technologies, our partnership with Ideelab will accelerate the development of innovative agricultural solutions. Ideelab's complementary expertise to Israel Chemicals makes us confident that this collaboration will bring significant advancements to the industry."
The collaboration will utilize Ideelab's biofactory, which is scheduled to commence operations in early 2025. Designed specifically for industrial-scale production of next-generation bio products, the biofactory will have a fermentation capacity of 6 million liters.
Israel Chemicals' goal is to use agricultural bio products to develop disruptive and sustainable solutions for global food production. This shared objective has brought the two companies together, fostering a rapid establishment of their collaboration.
The partnership between Israel Chemicals and Ideelab Biotechnology marks a significant milestone in the advancement of agricultural biotechnology. By combining their expertise and resources, they aim to introduce groundbreaking bioformulations that will contribute to sustainable and renewable solutions for food production worldwide.
