KENVUE will lay off 4% of its global workforce
Kenvue has announced that it plans to reduce its global headcount by 4% as part of a broader efficiency plan. Restructuring costs are expected to be $275 million per year over the next two years.
The Johnson & Johnson spinoff has about 22,000 employees, according to a report published by Bloomberg. The company expects to reinvest some of the cost savings from the restructuring.
Chief Financial Officer Paul Ruh told Bloomberg, "These moves will allow Kenvue to adjust its cost structure and the way it works." The market clearly approved of the plan; Aveeno owners' shares rose 4% on the news.
