On July 3, 2024, the Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) issued a recall notice for two instant noodle products that contained an undeclared allergen (peanut). The details of the recalled products are as follows:

One product is called "Chicken Soup Flavor Instant Noodle" with a net weight of 555g (containing 5 packages, each 111g), with UPC codes 6 935270 34198 8 and 6 935270 641988. The other product is called "Instant Noodles Artificial Pork Bone Soup Flavor" with a net weight of 565g (containing 5 packages, each 113g), with UPC code 6 935270 641971. The recall applies to all packages of these instant noodle products where the peanut ingredient was not properly labeled.

These two affected products have been sold in the provinces of Alberta, British Columbia, and Ontario in Canada. To protect consumer safety and health, the CFIA is strongly advising consumers to refrain from consuming the recalled products. Consumers are urged to check their homes for the affected products, and if found, to immediately stop consumption, discard the product, or return it to the store of purchase.
