Sika Breaks Ground on Major Northeastern New Jersey Plant
Sika has broken ground on a new 250,000 square foot state-of-the-art mortar production facility, expected to be operational by the end of 2025.
This investment is a significant milestone in Sika’s history in the U.S. The Northeast Anchor Plant will produce a full range of mortars, including high-performance cementitious grouts, self-leveling mortars and shotcrete mixes, including products for residential and commercial construction applications. Sika will create 50 jobs in Cumberland County.
“This new investment in our supply chain and manufacturing footprint demonstrates our strong commitment to the Northeastern United States and surrounding regions as a major production hub,” said Jim Walther, CEO and President of Sika USA. “This strategic move will solidify Sika’s leadership in providing innovative building solutions to our valued customers.”
Sika’s investment in the Northeast Anchor Plant is in response to growing volume demand near key strategic metropolitan markets and in line with a long-term strategy to expand our technology product lines to extend our market reach.
Sika will also open its newest fully automated warehouse in Marion, Ohio on July 17, 2024. The 150,000 square foot facility will store finished products for several strategic construction and industrial markets across the United States.
