South Korea's MFDS Publishes Safety Review of GMO Soybean DAS-44406-6, Lack of Scientific Evidence Sparks Public Concern!
On September 9, the Korean Ministry of Food and Drug Safety (MFDS) announced: The Ministry of Food and Drug Safety of the Republic of Korea, in accordance with Article 18 of the Food Health Act of the Republic of Korea, has requested public opinion on the safety review results of the genetically modified soybean DAS-44406-6 and the food additive lipase derived from genetically modified microorganisms reviewed by the "Safety Review Committee for Genetically Modified Foods and Other Foods". However, safety reviews are based on scientific facts, and the opinions presented are open to discussion if they are consistent with scientific facts and logic.
