Where synthetic antioxidants such as BHA and BHT are concerned, the market has recently become more concerned; due to this, manufacturers have sought natural ones. The use of antioxidants such as tocopherols, rosemary and ascorbic acid is becoming common in food products due to their preservative nature. These alternatives can act like butylated hydroxyanisole and butylated hydroxytoluene serving their purpose but they are considered safer and eco-friendly.
But natural antioxidants can be less effective than synthetic ones that’s why BHA and BHT remain an important part of EUR for industries that need long-term preservation.
