Solenis Acquires BASF's Mining Flocculant Business, Transaction Amount Not Disclosed
Wilmington, Delaware, USA, November 4, 2007 - Solenis, a global specialty chemicals industry leader, has completed the acquisition of BASF's mining flocculants business. This strategic acquisition further strengthens Solis' product line and ensures a full range of solutions for customers in the mining and mineral processing industries.
By integrating BASF's flocculants business, Solis will be able to offer a more diverse range of products and services to meet the broad needs of the mining sector. The acquisition underscores Solis' commitment to providing innovative and sustainable solutions aimed at improving operational efficiency and environmental performance.
The newly expanded product range covers a wide range of flocculants and other products for solid liquid separation and material handling in the mining industry, marketed under the trade names Magnafloc®, Rheomax®, Alclar®, Alcotac®, Jetwet®, Aerowet® and Alcotech®.
