Church & Dwight to Acquire Touchland for Up to $880 Million
Church & Dwight announced plans to acquire Touchland®, a hand sanitizer brand, in a transaction valued at up to $880 million, including a $700 million upfront payment and an earn-out payment tied to net sales in 2025.
The agreement consists of cash and Church & Dwight restricted stock, as well as additional performance-based payments of up to $180 million. Touchland is currently the second-largest hand sanitizer brand in the United States, with net sales of approximately $130 million and EBITDA of $55 million for the 12-month period ending March 31, 2025. Known for its edgy packaging design and popularity with young consumers, the brand is currently sold in the United States and Canada and was recently launched in the Middle East through Sephora.
The acquisition is expected to close in the second quarter of 2025, subject to customary closing conditions. Touchland's founders will remain with the company, which will continue to operate from its Miami headquarters.
The acquisition adds an eighth "powerhouse brand" to Church & Dwight's personal care portfolio, reflecting its ongoing strategy to target asset-light, high-growth brands with high consumer loyalty. Post-pandemic, demand for premium hand hygiene products continues, and Touchland's positioning - combining functionality, design and wellness - makes it a valuable asset in the personal care space. Church & Dwight plans to further scale the brand through international expansion and existing distribution networks.
