IMCD to Expand Lubrizol’s Medical Solutions in North America
Lubrizol, a provider of medical-grade thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU) solutions, has expanded its distribution agreement with IMCD to help meet demand for medical solutions in the U.S. and Canada.
The collaboration aims to extend a well-established medical TPU-focused partnership in Europe to North America, enabling IMCD to increase market penetration, effectively manage inventory and strengthen customer relationships.
Lubrizol has a broad portfolio of medical-grade TPU solutions and offers differentiated medical device design, development and manufacturing services. IMCD is its partner for the distribution and formulation of specialty chemicals and ingredients. The company has built extensive expertise in medical-grade polymers and has established a broad presence in the healthcare market, partnerships with leading suppliers and a broad customer base.
"We are pleased to be working with IMCD to expand distribution into North America, which allows us to continue to be the most trusted partner in the medical device industry, providing the level of service and best-in-class materials our customers expect," said Lu Zhang, Vice President of Engineered Polymers and Medical Solutions at Lubrizol.
"This new North American distribution agreement adds to the strong and successful distribution partnership that IMCD and Lubrizol have built over the years," said Jean-Paul Scheepens, President of IMCD USA. "We are eager to bring Lubrizol innovations to new customers."
