Eastman Launches Two New Production Lines in Dalian with Over 33 Million Yuan Investment
On June 13, global specialty materials company Eastman announced the official launch of two new production lines at its Dalian facility. This milestone highlights Eastman’s commitment to sustainable development and green manufacturing, while reinforcing its investment in the Chinese market and strengthening local R&D and manufacturing capabilities.
The 3350-million-yuan project integrates Eastman’s most advanced global technologies, significantly expanding production capacity for automotive films and high-performance coatings. The new lines are expected to generate an additional annual output value of 2.3 billion yuan, bolstering Eastman’s influence in global markets with premium export products.
Eastman has also implemented advanced industrial standards at the Dalian plant, ensuring quality consistency and operational excellence across all global production lines.
Gulferaz Ali, Eastman’s Vice President and Managing Director for the Asia-Pacific region, emphasized the Dalian plant’s strategic role in Eastman’s global supply chain. Since acquiring the facility in early 2023, Eastman has completed extensive infrastructure upgrades, enhancing its ability to meet the diverse needs of the automotive film market and strengthening its supply chain resilience in China and the Asia-Pacific region.
Founded in 1920, Eastman operates in over 100 countries worldwide. With the Dalian facility now meeting Eastman’s global standards, the company is positioned to deliver high-performance films and coatings that cater to both domestic and international markets, advancing its global leadership in specialty materials.
