DuPont Q2 Net Sales Hit $3.3 Billion with 35 Percent Profit Jump Electronics Division Set for $9 Billion Value Boost
DuPont reported Q2 2025 net sales of $3.3 billion, up 3.1% year over year, while income from continuing operations soared 35% to $238 million under US GAAP. Operating EBITDA reached $859 million, an 8% increase. The company’s strong performance was driven by its electronics segment, which saw net and organic sales climb 6% and an EBITDA margin of 31.9%.
Semiconductor technologies experienced double-digit organic growth, fueled by AI adoption and market recovery, with China delivering a standout contribution. Electronic interconnect technologies posted high single-digit organic growth, benefiting from robust demand and AI-driven upgrades.
Healthcare and water treatment markets also recovered, with both net and organic sales up 1% and an EBITDA margin of 24.4%. Demand for pharmaceutical, medical packaging, and reverse osmosis water treatment drove the rebound.
The strategic spin-off of DuPont’s electronics business—set to launch as Qnity on November 1, 2025—is progressing smoothly, with Form 10 registration complete and executive leadership in place. Alongside potential divestitures like aramid fibers, DuPont expects to unlock around $9 billion in additional value, sharpening its focus on core sectors like healthcare and water.
DuPont’s results reflect its pivot to high-value, innovation-led sectors and reduced exposure to volatile traditional energy. Yet, the company faces ongoing headwinds: weak demand in construction and automotive (especially in North America), raw material and energy cost fluctuations, and the threat of global supply chain disruptions and regulatory changes.
By actively reshaping its portfolio and capitalizing on AI and advanced materials, DuPont aims to sustain growth, maximize value, and navigate a challenging global landscape.
