Ethyl Acetate Market Shows Weak Performance
October 22nd, according to reports
According to the commodity market analysis system, as of the 22nd, the price of ethyl acetate was 5493.33 CNY/ton, a decrease of 36.67 CNY/ton compared to the price of 5530.00 CNY/ton on October 15th, with a price decrease of 0.66%. There were no changes in the ethyl acetate production facilities, and the supply side was operating stably. However, downstream demand was weak, and the raw material prices were falling, leading to a slight downward adjustment in the price of ethyl acetate.
Recently, most of the ethyl acetate plants in China have maintained their previous operational status, with the capacity utilization rate remaining relatively stable. As the price of ethyl acetate has increased, the positive market news has gradually leveled off. Although the supply has tightened somewhat, there has not been a significant increase in downstream demand, and the acceptance of high prices is moderate. Some manufacturers have lowered the transaction price of ethyl acetate to maintain sales. Additionally, the decline in the price of upstream acetic acid has weakened the cost support, leading to a weak market trend for ethyl acetate.
Looking ahead, downstream demand for ethyl acetate in China is following the market on a need-to-buy basis, and the trading atmosphere is relatively weak. However, the facility utilization rate within the market is not high, which provides some support to the supply side. The market is in a state of supply and demand competition, and it is expected that the price of ethyl acetate will remain weak in the short term. Future developments should closely monitor changes in production facilities and the follow-up situation of downstream demand.
