Yinchuan has taken many measures to reduce the burden of 'vegetable basket'

Since April, vegetable prices in Yinchuan City of Ningxia have been rising steadily. According to the average retail price monitoring data of 28 kinds of vegetable markets released by the Price Bureau, 23 kinds of prices have risen in April 2019 compared with April 2018, including 4.8 yuan per kilogram of tomatoes (3 yuan per kilogram, in parentheses for April 2018, the same below), up 60% compared with the same period of last year; 6 yuan per kilogram of green pepper. (4 yuan/kg), up 50% year-on-year; garlic moss 6.4 yuan/kg (4 yuan/kg), up 60% year-on-year; cauliflower 4 yuan/kg (2.7 yuan/kg), up 48% year-on-year; lettuce 3.5 yuan/kg (2.4 yuan/kg), up 46% year-on-year; rape 3 yuan/kg (2.1 yuan/kg), up 43% year-on-year; radish 2.2 yuan/kg (1.6 yuan/kg), up 38% year-on-year. It is known that the reasons for the rise in vegetable prices are as follows: first, 70% of winter and spring vegetables in Yinchuan are guest dishes, which are transferred from other places. Vegetables are mostly transported over long distances and long distances across regions. The consumption of basic energy can hardly be restrained and doubled. Rigid costs remain high and there are too many intermediate links in circulation, which lead to the high price of vegetables. Second, the prices of vegetables from other provinces have risen year on year, leading to the rise of local prices. Third, the purchases of vegetables from the North Ring Vegetable Wholesale Market have decreased significantly. According to monitoring, in April 2018, the average daily vegetable intake in North Rim wholesale market was 1600-1800 tons, and in April 2019, the average daily vegetable intake was 800-1000 tons, which was about half less. Fourthly, the reserve control vegetable of Yinchuan municipal government was put into operation until March, and the price began to rebound due to the end effect of putting in.
In the face of the rising vegetable prices in Yinchuan City, Yinchuan Business Bureau will take active measures to provide protection for the "vegetable basket" of the citizens. One is to guide Yinchuan large and medium-sized supermarkets to further increase the "farmer-supermarket docking", set up purchase sites in vegetable producing areas throughout the country, increase the proportion of direct mining and direct selling, reduce circulation costs and reduce intermediate links, thereby reducing vegetable prices; the other is to coordinate the timely introduction of special dishes by large and medium-sized supermarkets, so as to benefit the people and bring tangible preferences to the general public; the third is to coordinate the North Ring vegetable market. The comprehensive wholesale market for vegetables and fruits and the comprehensive wholesale market for fresh agricultural products in four seasons will increase the amount of vegetables transported so as to ensure the adequate supply of vegetables in Yinchuan City; the fourth is to guide the qualified wholesale market for agricultural products in Yinchuan City to connect with the regional wholesale market of producing and selling areas, and to establish a purchasing and logistics center by itself, so as to make it the center of price distribution, information transmission, product distribution and comprehensive services. Information system, quality detection system, electronic settlement system and processing and storage supporting functions will further improve market services and radiation functions. Fifth, in conjunction with agricultural, rural, price, investigation teams and other departments, we will strengthen the information monitoring of vegetable production, circulation and consumption, strengthen the analysis and early warning of vegetable production, market and price trends, and actively guide vegetable growers. Operators rationally arrange production and business activities, stabilize market expectations, and ensure that the vegetable supply is in continuous file and not out of stock.
