CNPC Plans To Build 350,000 Tons/year Phenol Acetone And 240,000 Tons/year Bisphenol A Plants

On December 17, the Jilin Provincial Department of Ecology and Environment issued an announcement that it intends to review the environmental impact assessment of the PetroChina Jilin Petrochemical Company's refining and chemical transformation and upgrading project. The basic information of the environmental impact assessment documents to be reviewed is now publicized. The publicity period is 5 working days. 

The construction site is located in the Jilin Chemical Industry Circular Economy Demonstration Park in Jilin City, the eastern new zone, the refinery and the high-carbon alcohol plant, the organic synthesis plant, calcium carbide plant, dye plant and fine chemical plant in the middle, and the acrylonitrile plant, fertilizer plant and Synthetic resin factory.

Project Overview:

Adjust the types of crude oil processing on the basis of the total crude oil processing scale unchanged, and build a new 2.2 million tons/year wax oil hydrocracking unit (including 300,000 tons/year naphtha normal isomer separation) and a 1 million tons/year diesel adsorption unit And 300,000 tons/year C2 recovery unit; retrofit the existing I atmospheric and vacuum unit, and change the processing crude oil to Russian crude oil, and adapt the second atmospheric and vacuum unit to process Qing/Kyrgyzstan crude oil; 900,000 tons/year The hydrocracking unit is transformed into a catalytic diesel hydro-upgrading unit. The unit uses straight-run diesel as the raw material while maintaining the crude oil processing capacity, and no longer processes wax oil; the 1 million tons/year delayed coking unit is environmentally friendly; In the 2+20,000 tons/year sulfur recovery unit, the solvent regeneration system of the III sulfur recovery unit was adapted to achieve a processing capacity of 240 tons/hour, and the II catalytic cracking unit was shut down.

In the chemical industry, a new 1.2 million tons/year ethylene plant was built, and the downstream supporting construction was 1 million tons/year pyrolysis gasoline hydrogenation, 450,000 tons/year aromatic extraction unit, 400,000 tons/year high-density polyethylene plant, and 300,000 tons/year.
