Imports of bisphenol A continue to decline
In November 2021, China's imports of bisphenol A amounted to 31,046 tons, a year-on-year decrease of 42% and a month-on-month decrease of 17%; the average import price was US$2,758/ton, and the import price fell 15.6% from the previous month.
In November, the export volume of bisphenol A was 81 tons, and the average export price was US$6264/ton, mainly 75 tons exported from Jiangsu and Henan to the UAE.
With the continuous increase of domestic production capacity of bisphenol A, the degree of foreign dependence is gradually decreasing. In addition, the average domestic market price of bisphenol A in November was about 17,000 CNY/ton. The price of imported bisphenol A plus value-added tax and tariffs was above 20,000 CNY/ton, which was significantly higher than the domestic market price, resulting in double The competitiveness of the supply of phenol A external disks has declined.
