Over the past century, China's coatings industry has made tremendous progress from scratch, from small to large, especially in the past 40 years of reform and opening up, and has now become a major coatings country in the world. According to the data given by the National Bureau of Statistics in the first quarter of 2018, the development of China's coatings industry is still an increasing trend. At the same time, China's coatings industry is experiencing an important adjustment period. First of all, from the perspective of national policies and regulations, the orientation of national industrial policy is more clear. Through a series of policies, the state and local governments promote strong industrial base, intelligent manufacturing, green development, cultivate national brands, and encourage high-tech enterprises to become bigger and stronger. The National Development and Reform Commission (NDRC) is revising the Catalogue of Industrial Structure Adjustment to encourage the production of environmentally friendly and resource-saving coatings for water-borne wood, industrial and marine coatings with high solid content, solvent-free, radiation curing and functional exterior insulation coatings.
