5G will play a big role in the chemical industry

A Seminar on "5G + Intelligent Chemical Industry" was held in Ningbo recently. Expert leaders from Ningbo Branch of China Mobile, Huawei Technological Company, Zhenhai Refining and Chemical Company, Wanhua Chemical Company and Ningbo Juhua Company gathered together to share and exchange ideas from different perspectives around the innovative exploration of "5G+Intelligent Chemical Industry". Reporters learned that at present, 5G has swept across the world, from wearable devices, robots to smart homes, smart cities, from personal entertainment, communication media to education, medical and other fields, 5G technology has been widely used. Industry insiders believe that 5G will be further applied in machinery manufacturing, industrial design, chemical industry, metallurgy and other industries, and truly realize the interconnection of all things. How will the emergence of 5G affect the chemical industry?
5G applications have yielded fruitful results
"5G is sweeping the world, and the chemical industry can not stay out." A technician from Huawei said, "Huawei cooperated with PetroChina to build a top-level system framework. It can link remote oil wells or oil wells that are difficult to collect data through 5G during oil exploitation, and complete real-time data transmission, so as to realize real-time monitoring of oil wells, and ensure oil wells through intelligent analysis. Reasonable and safe use."
"For many chemical enterprises,'5G+Intelligent Chemical Industry'is only a big concept at present, but in fact, there are many application cases." Wang Ren, Network Department of Ningbo Branch of China Mobile, added, "In the traditional environment, a front-line chemical operator needs to wear a safety helmet to go deep into the workshop to operate equipment, and the working environment on site is often hot and noisy; with 5G technology, the worker can sit in the air-conditioning room and operate the machine facing the large screen." Prepares, thus guarantees the production safety and the product quality foundation, reduces the labor intensity, improves the working environment.
As early as 2010, crude oil processing broke through 20 million tons of Zhenhai refining, and has become a well-known refinery in China. At the seminar, Zhang Shaozheng, a staff member of Beijing Magnesium Ga Robot Co., Ltd., introduced a set of machine arm inspection equipment grafted with 5G technology which they provided to Zhenhai Refining and Chemical Laboratory. Previously, oil analysis of products produced required artificial or suspended reagents in baby wagons to shake repeatedly for several hours, while shaking to detect oil change data within a few hours. Nowadays, with the help of 5G machine arm testing equipment, oil detection is more convenient and fast, and to a certain extent, the machine replacement in the laboratory has been realized. Zhang Shaozheng said.
Conference organizer Zhang Liming, Secretary-General of Ningbo Petroleum and Chemical Industry Association, said: "Ningbo is one of the seven major petrochemical bases in China. At present, Ningbo has formed industrial agglomeration in Zhenhai, Beilun and Daxie blocks, and has become the main force of China's petrochemical industry. On May 10, this year, Ningbo held a mobilization conference to promote the construction of "246" billion industrial clusters, which was also the beginning of the "5G + Intelligent Chemical Industry" symposium. However, there are still some problems in Ningbo's chemical industry. There are a large number of chemical enterprises, with large workload of patrol inspection, many blind areas, weak ability of safety facilities and supervision means, automatic identification and disposal. In terms of the frequency and number of accidents and casualties, the ability of safety assurance still needs to be improved. 5G technology will play an important role in these areas. Zhang Liming said.
In the future, "5G+Intelligent Chemical Industry" can also provide security, environmental protection, emergency, logistics and integrated security escort for the chemical industry. For example, once an accident occurs in a chemical enterprise with 5G application, the emergency command center can obtain information and make decision-making judgment in the first time, and the emergency service is faster and more convenient. Moreover, compared with the previous broadband network, 5G can effectively solve the increasingly complex network and the growing demand for bandwidth. Commanders sitting in the command center can see all-round high-definition images of various factories and achieve scientific and reasonable emergency instructions.
Boosts unmanned remote dispatch
Ningbo has a world-wide port, Zhoushan Port, and now has more than 200 international routes, connecting with more than 600 ports in more than 100 countries and regions. With the rapid development of the new round of petrochemical industry, the import of crude oil and the export of refined oil have increased substantially. Taking this as an opportunity, Ningbo Zhoushan Port has taken the lead in container transportation and become the first port to realize 5G application in China.
In the afternoon of April 16, this year, at No. 4 yard of Meishan Island International Container Terminal, Zhoushan Port, Ningbo, with the video pictures of remote console lighting up one by one, it marks that Zhoushan Port has realized various innovations of wireless information applications such as gantry crane operation management and video return based on mobile 5G network. In this application innovation, 5G network has realized the innovation of application and many key technologies in intelligent port scenario. With the help of 5G wide bandwidth technology, the video return from gantry crane multi-view HD video to remote control room has been realized, and the unmanned remote dispatch of port area has been realized. In the future, Ningbo Petroleum and Chemical Industry Association will lead chemical enterprises in exploring 5G technology in refining intelligent technology and other aspects. It will build a communication platform between chemical enterprises and 5G technology providers such as Huawei, Mobile and Unicom to help chemical enterprises reduce their losses by skillfully integrating 5G technology with intelligent chemical industry. Less labour, higher labour efficiency and lower labour intensity.
