Among them, the average purchase price of electric coal in the eastern region was 191.30 CNY/ton, up 0.85% annually and 11.65% year-on-year; the average purchase price of electric coal in the western region was 207.15 CNY/ton, down 0.07% annually and 9.43% year-on-year.

Inner Mongolia Development and Reform Commission (NDRC) said that in the first ten days of July, a large area of rainfall occurred all over the country, and the average temperature was lower than that of the same period last year. As of mid-July, the average daily coal consumption of the six power generating groups remained near 600,000 tons, which was at a low level in recent years.

Recently, with the continuous rise of temperature in China, the daily consumption of power plants began to rebound, and by the end of July, the daily consumption of the six major power generating groups had risen to around 800,000 tons.

Due to the rapid recovery of power plant daily consumption, the enthusiasm of producer traders to replenish stores has increased, and the recent stabilization of power coal prices around the Bohai Sea, it is expected that coal prices in Inner Mongolia will increase slightly in August.
