China's Natural Rubber Prices First Decline Then Rise, Slightly Warming Up

ECHEMI 2025-11-14

November 13th, according to reports

According to the commodity market analysis system, the Chinese natural rubber spot market has experienced a slight recovery with fluctuations in recent times (Nov 1-13). As of November 13, the spot price of natural rubber in China was around 14,883 CNY/ton, an increase of 0.90% from 14,750 CNY/ton at the beginning of the month, and a rise of 2.88% from the lowest point of 14,466 CNY/ton within the cycle. The slight recovery in natural rubber is supported by the cost of raw materials and rigid demand. However, a slight increase in port inventories of natural rubber has had a somewhat negative impact on the market. As of November 13, the main quotes for 2024 Guangken, Baodao, and Haibao whole milk rubber in the Qingdao area were between 14,800 and 15,100 CNY/ton.

As of November 13, the price of Thai adhesive stood at 56.30 Thai baht per kilogram, marking a slight increase of 0.54% from the beginning of the month, when it was 56.00 Thai baht per kilogram. Meanwhile, natural rubber raw material prices remain elevated. While China’s tapping activities will gradually wind down in the coming period, the global tapping season is set to ramp up, leading to an anticipated overall increase in the supply of natural rubber raw materials. As a result, natural rubber prices may eventually ease from their current high levels.

Recently (from November 1 to November 13), the inventory of natural rubber continued to decrease slightly, which has a positive impact on natural rubber. As of November 9, 2025, the total inventory volume of natural rubber in bonded and general trade in Qingdao, China, was 449,500 tons, an increase of 1,800 tons from the previous period, with a growth rate of 0.40%.

Recently (Nov 1-13), downstream tire production has slightly increased, providing support for the natural rubber market. As of November 7, the operating rate of semi-steel radial tires in Chinese tire companies has slightly risen to around 74%; the operating rate of all-steel radial tires in Shandong region tire companies has slightly decreased to about 65%.

Market Forecast: Currently, natural rubber raw material prices remain high, supported by strong downstream demand. Meanwhile, port inventories of natural rubber have seen a slight increase. Overall, it is expected that the natural rubber market will likely fluctuate within a narrow range ahead of the holiday period.
