Henan launches special inspection of food safety in school canteens in autumn

In the beginning of the school season, the Henan Provincial Market Regulatory Bureau recently issued a notice to carry out a special inspection on food safety in school canteens in the autumn of 2019 in order to ensure food safety in school canteens. According to the introduction, the "school canteen" referred to in this special inspection includes colleges and universities, secondary vocational schools, ordinary high schools, compulsory education schools, kindergarten canteens and distribution units for students'collective meals. Regulatory departments around the country will conduct a major investigation of food safety hidden dangers in school canteens, urge school canteens to strictly implement various measures to prevent and control food poisoning, and urge school canteens found in the inspection that the hardware conditions do not meet the requirements and food safety management is not in place, and urge them to rectify as soon as possible and track the rectification effect in time.

Special inspection requires that local regulatory departments should actively promote the work of "Internet plus bright kitchen cooker" in school canteens, ensure that the target rate of completion is 70% before the end of the year, encourage schools to use the Internet and other information means to open the process of food sourcing, procurement, processing and production, and take the initiative to accept supervision. Strengthen guidance, promote the upgrading of hardware facilities and management level of school canteens; adopt various forms such as convening special conferences and briefing typical cases, strengthen food safety publicity and education, and create a social co-governance atmosphere for food safety.
