Bisphenol A Is Still Expected to Bottom Out, And PC Factory Prices Have Been Lowered One After Another

ECHEMI 2022-05-30

Market overview

Last week, the domestic PC market was weak, and factory prices were successively lowered. Although some brands in southern China rebounded moderately from low levels, the overall improvement in the trading atmosphere was limited. The recent recovery of demand is still slow. In the short term, the market is concerned about the changes in mentality after the recent sharp decline, the trading scope of domestic and foreign manufacturers, and the recovery of local demand in East China. This week, the raw material bisphenol A is still expected to bottom out, while PC is restricted by its own supply and demand pressure. Factories have been bidding for sales, but the buying momentum is lacking. It is expected that the short-term market will be weak and sorted out. The price of Covestro 2805 in South China is 21,500 CNY/ton. (tax not included)
