Starting construction of a number of special railway lines by 2020

On September 19, the National Development and Reform Commission issued the Guiding Opinions on Accelerating the Construction of Special Railway Lines. By 2020, a number of special railway lines will be constructed. The main ports along the coast, large industrial and mining enterprises with an annual volume of more than 1.5 million tons of bulk cargo, and special railway lines in newly-built logistics parks will all be connected to 80%, and the main ports of the Yangtze River trunk line will basically be introduced to special railway lines.
By 2025, 85% of the major ports along the coast, large industrial and mining enterprises with an annual volume of more than 1.5 million tons of bulk cargo and special railway lines in newly-built logistics parks will be accessed, and all the major ports along the Yangtze River will be accessed by railways.
